The Paradox of Socrates

The Paradox of Socrates, also known as the Socratic Paradox, is a statement attributed to the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates. It goes something like this: “I know that I am intelligent because I know that I know nothing.”

Imagine living in a world today, where you can say the above phrase and not get instantly shut down… Just try! Anyway, Socrates’ intention behind this paradox was to emphasize the importance of intellectual humility and the pursuit of knowledge.

Socrates believed that true wisdom comes from recognizing the limits of our own knowledge. Let that sink in. Let it sink. Accept it, and move forward accordingly.
