Seems like Apples Never Fall couldn’t quite capture that Big Little Lies magic.

Apples Never Fall isn’t Big Little Lies, but it proves Liane Moriarty’s TV dominance.

Well, well, well, here we go again with yet another attempt to replicate the magic of Big Little Lies. Apples Never Fall, the latest addition to the slew of Liane Moriarty adaptations, seems to have fallen flat on its face. While Moriarty might be enjoying her throne atop the prestige TV kingdom, it appears her latest offering didn’t quite live up to the hype.

With Apples Never Fall, it’s as if we’ve been served reheated leftovers from a dinner party long past. Critics are quick to note the similarities to Moriarty’s previous works, with one even quipping that if they were told it was the 10th adaptation, they’d believe it. Surprise, surprise, another dysfunctional family with hidden secrets – groundbreaking stuff, really.

But fear not, for the Moriarty adaptation train shows no signs of slowing down. Despite the lackluster reception of Apples Never Fall, Hollywood remains determined to milk every last drop of potential from Moriarty’s novels. Because, you know, why bother with original ideas when you can just recycle the same old formula with a different title? As long as there are A-list actors itching to sink their teeth into these “juicy” roles, it seems we’re in for a never-ending stream of Moriarty adaptations. Ah, the joys of prestige TV – where originality goes to die, but hey, at least we get to see our favorite actors cashing in their paychecks, right?
